The Aeon T2 Cruiser, nicknamed the Infinity Class, is an Aeon unit. This is a cruiser, direct fire unit, anti-air unit, and tactical missile defense unit.
The Infinity Class is a Cruiser that is fully equipped to support a fleet of ships with a variety of weapons including a Quantum Cannon, a Will O Wisp Anti Missile, and two Zealot AA Missiles. It also has a radar system, useful for spotting targets at long range for destroyers to engage. Like all cruisers, it has low HP for a T2 naval unit , although it does have the most of any cruiser. Also like all cruisers, it is ill-equipped to engage other naval units. Even though it has a surface weapon, be aware it will lose to two frigates in direct combat, and should not be used specifically for such roles.
Usefulness for tactical missile defense
Edit
The Infinity Class uses a Will O Wisp Anti Missile system, which can, unlike other cruisers, effectively deal with several missiles at once. However, its effective radius is 60% of the other cruisers' defense systems, so fewer ships are protected by it. Ships may have to cluster closer together for protection, making them more vulnerable to shore-based artillery.
Usefulness for Anti-Air roles
Edit
The Infinity Class has extremely powerful AA, better than any naval unit except the Seraphim Ithalua, but its low HP means it is too vulnerable to be deployed alone against large groups of enemy air units, particularly gunships. The Infinity should always be covered by Asylum T2 mobile shields, to mitigate its low HP disadvantage. If you have the power. It should be deployed either in small groups or supported by Shards and should also be accompanied by destroyers or submarines to protect it from other naval units. Although the Infinity Class boasts unbelievable AA DPS, use it with caution as the AA fires seeking missiles, which focus on individual air units, unlike the Ithalua. This often leads to large overkill.
The table below compares different ways for an Aeon player to protect their naval forces from air assault. A force of Infinity Class cruisers and Ascendant Flak artillery, protected by Asylum shields, seems the most effective combination.
