The Aeon T2 Heavy Tank, nicknamed the Obsidian, is an Aeon unit. This is a direct fire unit.

The Obsidian is a very powerful and formidable unit, being hard to destroy due to its shield. It has high damage per second, but lacks hit points and has a low rate of fire, making it more vulnerable to tech 1 units. The shield is also useful in that it disguises the Obsidian's actual hit points, as even if it only has a single hit point left, it can still be hard to destroy due to its shield. The Obsidian also lacks the hover capabilities present in other Aeon units.

The Obsidian is the strongest tech 2 unit in the game, and has the highest one-shot-damage of any tech 1 or tech 2 unit. The Obsidian can act as a powerful PD when firing from behind a wall in early-mid game. It is worth noting, however, that the Obsidian costs nearly twice as much as other faction's T2 tanks, which allows other commanders to deploy greater numbers to compensate for this threat.
