The UEF T3 Battlecruiser, nicknamed the Neptune Class, is a UEF naval unit. It is a high-end, anti-naval vessel armed with two Dual-Barreled Hiro Plasma Cannons, an Angler Torpedo system, a Phalanx Anti Missile defense, and Smart Charge AntiTorpedo charges.

The Neptune is designed to eliminate enemy naval assets quickly and efficiently. Battlecruisers can even take on battleships and other heavy naval units. The Neptune is primarily used as support for other naval ships, as it can protect them from smaller and faster naval units. Cruisers or other ships are needed to provide anti-air, as the Neptune lacks anti-air weaponry.

The Neptune is tough for its size, although battleships have more HP. The Neptune Class can also be used for clearing beaches as its cannons can tear through ground units. It's not as useful for base bombardment as its main guns are beam weapons, causing its shots to frequently hit small hills and other intervening terrain. Use the Neptune with Summits, Governors, Bulwarks, and Valiants for a deadly mix of ships.

Despite its position as a naval superiority vessel, the Neptune has difficulty with submarines, especially other factions' T2 sub hunters and the Yathsou. The Hiro Plasma Cannons are incapable of attacking submerged vessels, the Angler Torpedoes are somewhat weak and the torp defenses have too much cooldown to protect it from heavy torpedo attack. Since all submarines are much less expensive than the Neptune, it is best reserved for assaulting and escorting high-value surface assets, such as battleships and aircraft carriers.

It is unknown if there is a bug with the vessel, but some people find that the beam weapon does not actually hit their targets, but rather the weapons aim above, as if they were firing a projectile. In most cases this causes the beams to miss their targets entirely. This occurs mostly when playing the Forged Alliance campaign.
