Tech 3 Heavy Air Transport |
The Tech 1 Light Air Transport units are used to move land units around the map more quickly. They can generally carry six T1 units or a smaller number of higher tier units. They cannot transport ACUs but they can transport a single SCU. They are are the lowest and weakest of transport units, being slow and poorly armored and so will go down with very little fire.
Tactics[]
Being the cheapest and most easily accessible transport they are generally used to transport engineers to far away mass extractors (including islands) during the start of a multiplayer game. However, they are generally not built as the first unit out of an air factory due to their extreme cost of nearly 5k energy.
Factional differences[]
“The basic UEF transport, the Courier can hold up to 6 units and move them rapidly about the field. However, the Courier is extremely vulnerable to Anti-Air fire and Interceptors.” —C-6 Courier Vanilla SupCom description
“This small transport is designed to carry a very small task force of bots and/or tanks. It is very fast but lacks the cargo capacity, armor and weaponry of its heavier counterpart.” —Skyhook Vanilla SupCom description

The Tech 1 Light Air Transport are the UEF C-6 Courier, Cybran Skyhook, Aeon Chariot, and the Seraphim Vish. These units all cost the exactly the same and have the same HP and speed. The main difference is in the loading capacity being slightly different, either 6 Tech 1 units (8 for Seraphim), 3 Tech 2 units (2 for Cybrans) or 1 Tech 3 units (or a mix of the above)*. Otherwise apart from their names and looks/clamp layouts), there are generally only minor differences.
The Cybran Skyhook can only transport 2 Tech 2 units.
The Seraphim Vish is capable of carrying 8 Tech 1 units.
The Aeon Chariot can still transport up to six T1 units.
Ghetto Gunship[]
- See the Ghetto gunship for more details.
Light assault bots for non-Seraphim factions can fire during transport. This can effectively create the makeshift unit known as "Ghetto gunship". Simply fill up the transport and fly it over opposing units. This can be devastating to an opponent, as it can be pulled off very quickly (for a low cost), before any defenses have been built, or to harass outlying units.
