I find this is a perfect long term weapon. I usually build two or three in the beginning and submerge them for half an hour to an hour, building T3 Broadswords along the way. I don't think it is a great offensive tool, but having it in your bases AA and Torpedo defenses for most of the game until you have a definite lock on the Enemy's ACU is a great Strategy. After said hour, flood the skies above your enemy's base with T3 Gunships and devastate everything, although almost all of the sent Broadswords will be destroyed in the ACU's death throes, but at that point you have won the game.

factory problem Edit

Like most of the mobile factories in the game, construction is not possible if the unit is mobile. If you order your Atlantis to move, then it will automatically cancel all build orders. Also, being an aircraft carrier, all built units will stay docked unless you explicitly order them out of the Atlantis. Finally, if you don't see any build icons, then the only explanation is that the units, or the build functionality, are currently un-available for you (like in a training mission). happypal (Talk) 16:53, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Rather like the Fatboy, Atlantis should be used as a support unit rather than a direct fire unit against other Naval units - A large enough group of anti-submarine units will ensure Atlantis' destruction. Also, a useful tip for atlantis is to have it construct and store a number of UEF Torpedo Bombers (Storks)in preparation for and to counter an overwhelming anti-submarine force. Lastly, Atlantis should stay submerged in most situation, as it remains undetectable to surface ships without SONAR, and is only vulnerable to torpedoes and depth charges if submerged (if surfaced, any ground/air weapon is able to hit it). The only time it should surface is when it is escaping from a submarine conflict, and in order to deploy any stored aircraft.--Bwety123 20:28, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

Mine shows no build function in skirmish games. Running raw SupCom with no patches. I guess this is added in a patch or in FA? If so, it should probably specify that in article! 23:09, April 7, 2014 (UTC)

Tech level of recovered aircraft Edit

When I order my planes or gunships to return to the Atlantis, it always seems that tech 3 aircraft do not return to the hangar, but all others will. Is there a particular reason for this, and has anyone else noticed this? Also, I have noticed that the CZAR is the same way. Could this be because I play on XBox or is it like this on PC, as well?
