The UEF T2 Air Transport, nicknamed the C14 Star Lifter, is a UEF unit. This is a transport unit.
“The C14 is a heavily armed and armored troop transport. It is also capable of carrying tanks, vehicles or any other unit that can fit within the transport's clamp system.” —C14 Star Lifter Vanilla SupCom description
Prior to the release of Forged Alliance and the introduction of the T3 Continental, the Star Lifter was the UEF's toughest air transport, with high HP and the ability to transport up to 14 T1 units or 6 T2 units or 3 T3 units or a large number of mixed T3, T2, and T1 units. This unit is also armed with two Hells Fury Riot Guns and two Linked Railguns for self defense.
The Star Lifter serves the same role as the C-6 Courier and is more expensive per unit carrying capacity, thus less efficient in a simple sense. However, the Star Lifter has much higher HP as well as weapons with which to defend itself, making it much more ideal for landings in a Hot LZ. Since losing a loaded transport is potentially far more costly than losing any single unit transports are not expendable, making the increased durability that much more valuable. Additionally, the Star Lifter can carry ACUs, and may be necessary to remove the ACU from danger.
Trivia[]
