The UEF T2 Destroyer, nicknamed the Valiant Class, is a UEF unit. This is a destroyer, as well as a direct fire unit, torpedo unit and anti-torpedo unit. It is best used for escorting larger naval vessels, with its multi-purpose armament
The Valiant is a capable all-around vessel. Its high health and its long range Gauss Cannon, which fires on a high arcing trajectory, makes it a capable unit for bombarding targets close to the shore or at sea. When combined with Governor Class Cruisers, it is capable of defeating defensive sea emplacements with ease while remaining out of range.
As with other faction destroyers, the Valiant is an anti-torpedo vessel with two side-mounted Smart Charge AntiTorpedo launchers. It also has two front-mounted Angler Torpedo launchers, but it has a lower rate of fire than its counterparts from other factions, making the Valiant much less effective against enemy subs. It is likely to require assistance from the Cooper torpedo boat when faced with large numbers of subs.
The Valiant also has a pair of Linked Railguns for anti-aircraft work, but it has difficulty tracking fast-moving air targets, such as many T2 or T3 air units and enemy scouts. This makes the Valiant virtually helpless against an air attack, and it should be accompanied by Governor Class Cruisers and Bulwarks in such situations.
